THE CO-WORKERS, CHRISTIANS IN THE CORPORATE WORKPLACE
Jane just told her co-worker, Betty, that June looked a little under the weather. Five minutes later, Betty is at the water cooler telling June that Jane said she looked like a wart-covered troll.
Betty may not even realize that she is inflicting a world of hurt onto both June and Jane. She can't help herself. She lives to embellish! She lives to shock!
Rocky is twenty minutes late to work due to a flat tire, while Rusty covers for him. When Rocky arrives, he thanks Rusty and promises to repay him in a similar fashion should a situation arise. Rusty and Rocky are not only fair to one another, they are team players.
Janet accidentally spills her cup of coffee on Jimmy's keyboard when she meanders over to his cube to borrow a pen. Looking about, she softly fades away, letting Jimmy take the heat for her mistake.
Welcome to the Corporate World! Make it or break it; fix it or leave it. One of the greatest opportunities that we have as Christians is to be an example to others. When we are viewed as kind, as considerate, as fair, as dedicated to others, our Christian armor shines just a little bit brighter!
