TIME FOR SPOUSE - TAKING TIME FOR GOD
Sometimes, we Christians get so wrapped up in going to church and in participating in church activities that some of the things that are very important in our lives, go unattended. And that can be a bad thing.
Although serving God should be the most important thing, there comes a time between dinners on the ground, brotherhood meetings and choir practice when we may need to stop and ask if we are serving God or are we wrapped up in activities created by Man?
Although attending a sisterhood meeting might be an important thing in our life, if we never find time for our partner in life, or our family, it's just not a good thing - and it's not a healthy thing for our family.
If you find that you are stretching yourself thin because of too many church activities that are not a part of the Worship time, you may also find that you are stretching yourself thin amid your family. If so, see what can be trimmed back.
I must say that in my own personal experience as a minister's daughter, the more that Christians met for activities at church, the more trouble that seemed to brew.
So take stock and keep in mind that while serving God is important, serving Man isn't.
Worship service should be a top priority; but if you're having to neglect your family for a church social, something's not quite right.
