GOD & PRAISE
Have you ever done something really great, then the person that watched you do this great something stood back and took all the credit? It's enough to make a grown Christian cry.
But don't cry. It's just the devil's way of getting your goat. So many times God allows us to be tested to see how we hold up, how we react, to see what we learn, to see if the unpleasant experience makes us a stronger person.
I must say that there have been several times in my life when we've felt like Job must have felt - just one catastrophe after another. Wrecks, illnesses, death - it seemed that it would never end and at times, almost unbearable.
Although those experiences were difficult, we learn a lot when we look into the face of pain, the face of humility, the face of uncertainty, and the face of death. We learn what is important, what trivial, and what is precious.
And once we go through trials and tests, when we finally receive God's blessings, those tough times give us reason to keep on praising the Living God.
