CHRISTIAN RELATIONSHIPS
As a minister's daughter, I met people from all religions, from all walks of life, from all cultures who had different customs, different views on life, as well as different religious beliefs.
The one thing that stuck in my Learning Bank was the fact that even Christians are cranky at times, or they are short in temper, or a bit too swift with their tongues. It was an important lesson in life.
Everyone from time-to-time isn't going to be their best.
I once saw a short clip where a wife burned her hand while cooking breakfast. Her husband walked in, all nice and happy, and she yelled at him when he greeted her. It was an instant balloon-popper. In turn, as he was going to his car to drive to work, the milkman passed by (yes, it was a long time ago, wasn't it??), and the man yelled at him about how he was setting the milk too far out on the porch in the sun's grasp. The milkman went home, then jumped on his wife, who then yelled at the innocent cat.
The purpose of the short clip was to illustrate that anger is contagious.
The next time that you experience anger from someone you meet, give them a little room. Odds are, they are having a really bad day, or things in their private life are taking their toll. It's very hard to smile in the face of anger, but as long as the 'O Angered One' doesn't haul off and knock all your front teeth out, they'll probably appreciate your understanding - and in turn, you will be breaking the cycle of anger.
