Christian Devotion, Don't Look Back, Look Up!
Have you ever felt like you're taking one step forward, then two steps backwards?
At times, difficulties along Life's Pathway can create a feeling of doubt - that God surely must not have time for us, that God must not care as deeply about us as we do about Him, that God has forsaken us in our time of need.
It's important amid these turbulent times to pause and acknowledge that both Christians and non-Christians are faced with the struggles of daily life.
Take great comfort in knowing that you, as a Christian, not only have a guardian angel keeping watch, that you also have the Heavenly Father keeping watch.
Listen closely, and He will guide you across the most restless of seas. Watch steadily, and you will see signs of His presence. Pray diligently, asking God to intercede with mercy and kindness.
The next time that you find yourself taking one step forward, then two steps backwards - don't look back, look up. Although God did not promise man to live a life empty of pain and troubles, He did promise to be with us to guide and comfort us along Life's Pathway.
