The Bible Belt & Weight Loss

Belt getting a little smaller
these days? Oh boy - I sure know the feeling and it can really
make a body feel small (if that makes any sense!). Your solution
to your Belt Delusion is as close as your Bible.
In the old days,
we had church visitation at least once per week. We'd go house
to house, inviting people to church. Or, we'd take our Bibles and
visit the sick or elderly. We often visited retirement homes where
we sang, prayed and talked with the people there. Our visits were
always looked forward to and we were always greeted with joy. We
were always on the move!
In this 'new age',
as Christians we must exercise greater caution. Although God
finds it pleasing when we spread His Word, He also wants us to always
be safe. So when you go out, try to do so as a group. It's
also a bit ironic in this age of terrorism, that it appears we have
more to fear from those professing to be Christians than so-called
non-Christians.
Nonetheless, 'moving'
expends calories and the more the move, the easier that belt is
going to fasten. And if we can drop a few unwanted pounds
while spreading around God's love - that's a very desirable combination!
