Weight Loss Motivators

While trying to lose weight, make a short list of things that you will use as rewards once you reach a certain weight loss amount, or a certain date.  Just like God rewards us, we should also reward ourselves because giving doesn't always mean sacrifice.

  • A new outfit in a smaller size.
  • Enjoy a celebration dinner with a loved one.
  • A day at a spa just for pampering.

 Weight Loss Tip

If you are trying to lose weight, you can calculate how long it will take to lose 'x pounds' by dividing 2 into the number of pounds you want to lose.

For example, if Dieter Jan wants to lose 24 pounds, it's going to take her about 12 weeks to reach her weight loss goal.

"But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it." ~ Romans 8:24

Implementing daily devotions into your diet can help you stay focused so that you remain on track with your diet plan. Think of spiritual devotions as 'pep talks' - as a Diet Tool that can help keep you motivated.

In God, power is unlimited. With His strength, and His power, we can achieve our goals and dreams in life, including weight loss success!

Daily spiritual devotions also:

  • keep you in tune with where you want to go with your diet
  • provide strength to continue with your diet plan
  • provide comfort in assuring you that you are on the right path that leads toward a healthier lifestyle

Daily spiritual devotions can also lend new meaning to the 'hope' that lies at the end of your Diet Path.  The Book of Psalms has so many wonderful praises and makes a great book in the Bible for your daily devotions.

King David was put through so many trials and tribulations, yet remained steadfast to God, even at the most difficult times in his life.  He knew what lay at the end of his journey, and that all the suffering and misery would be nothing compared to the eternal treasure that awaited.

Such is so, with a diet plan.  Although most of the time, we can make our diet plan or weight loss program upbeat, there are 'down' times.  Many times, we're excited about what we are - or what we plan -  to accomplished in regards to our weight loss and image. But the times when are 'down', dieting is flat miserable. It's so much more fun to be enjoying an entire hot-fudge sundae rather than just the healthy cherry on top.

So stay steadfast and think of David - and enjoy the book of Psalms for strength.  For you, too, have a wonderful reward to look forward to at the end of your diet plan!
