Float of Many Colors - Diet Recipe

Another low calorie, low fat diet option for your weight loss plan.  Float of Many Colors can be most any color you like - most any flavor that you like.

 

If you like strawberries, try mixing frozen strawberries, REAL vanilla, skimmed milk and a shot of strawberry extract.  Ice cubes will render a thicker shake.

 

Most shakes prepared in this manner contain about 100 calories per one and a half cups and make excellent in-between-meal snacks, as well as a great bedtime snack.

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of skimmed milk

1/2 frozen banana

1 teaspoon of banana extract (or Rum extract)

Dash of ground nutmeg

 

Place ingredients into a blender and whirl until thick.  As mentioned above, a couple of ice cubes will render a thicker drink.

 

For cold days, you might enjoy this light cocoa mix:

 

1 cup of warm skimmed milk

1 Tablespoon of powdered cocoa

2-4 packets of no calorie sweetener

 

Add a teaspoon of water to the cocoa powder and stir until smooth.  May be tricky when starting out, but keep stirring until smooth.

 

Add packets of sweetener, then pour into warmed milk and stir.

 

About 100 calories per serving.
