Weight Loss Motivators

While trying to lose weight, make a short list of things that you will use as rewards once you reach a certain weight loss amount, or a certain date.  Just like God rewards us, we should also reward ourselves because giving doesn't always mean sacrifice.

  • A new outfit in a smaller size.
  • Enjoy a celebration dinner with a loved one.
  • A day at a spa just for pampering.

 Weight Loss Tip

If you are trying to lose weight, you can calculate how long it will take to lose 'x pounds' by dividing 2 into the number of pounds you want to lose.

For example, if Dieter Jan wants to lose 24 pounds, it's going to take her about 12 weeks to reach her weight loss goal.

Now that you’ve dropped some pounds, you’ll want to keep them off for good!  Fitness is attained daily.  You’ve managed to see this happen with your 10-Day diet.  The first day, you probably didn’t feel or look any thinner than the day before you started your diet.  However, day-by-day you started trimming down.

There is an old story about a man who took a spool of thread and asked a volunteer to allow him to wrap the thread around him once.  He did, and then he asked the volunteer to break the thread.  The volunteer broke the thread very easily.

Next, the man began wrapping the thread around the volunteer until he had used up the entire spool.  Again, he asked the volunteer to break the thread.  No matter how hard he tried, the volunteer could not break the thread.

This is similar to our accumulated weight over the years.  At first, if we gain a pound or two, it’s easy to get the pound off very quickly.  However, when the weight adds on year after year, it takes a bit of time to get back to where we began.

Be very proud of yourself for going on the 10-Day Diet and sticking with it!  As you can see by the numbers on your scale, it does work.

Think about how you felt during your diet.  You didn’t starve, did you?  You had three meals a day, plus two nice snacks.

Was the weight loss worth the sacrifice?  If so, and if you need to lose more weight, then stay on the fitness wagon and keep at it until all the weight you need to lose is gone!  You can use this guide as a pattern for future weight loss.

Thank you for allowing us to help you meet your fitness goals.  May you experience great success, and always have a little laughter in your heart, and a smile on your face!
